Still very beautiful, Pigeon Point is returning to the pristine state that it once was before man's ambitious plans changed the natural circulation of tidal water and messed up the quality of the sandy bottom and the character of the water.
We start at the beginning, and through Joanne de Boehmler's camera lens, we look into Pigeon Point through its entrance.
A look down the jetty that has come to epitomize both Pigeon Point, and the whole dream world of tropical beauty and relaxed atmosphere. In the middle is the carrat shed, and on the left is the boat we went fishing in.....a pictorial story for another time.....still to come!!
A view from the jetty taken just about at the tide line looking North towards the Nylon Pond. If you look real hard, and apply some good imagination you can see the brilliant white flash of a wave breaking on the still beautiful Bucco Reef.
A view taken from the same place looking South towards Store Bay and Crown Point, both would be behind the point is this pic. As Pigeon Point returns to its natural self, I can't help but feel that there is hope for us yet.
